This bus was purchased from New Jersey Transit. I needed a 5303 for the collection and this bus fit the bill. However, it was involved in a front-end accident. The bus was drivable, but I had problems with the windshield right side. So, I made a wooden window and drove it to California like that. When it got home, I had to replace the entire front mask. Later I had to do extensive repairs to the transmission. I replaced the transmission, flywheel, shock plate and the alternator. It finally settled down and was a good bus for many years.

I sold R360 to a bus fan in New Jersey. He drove it back and then again was sold to a company that took the power plant out and as much weight they could to use it for a big sign at the bus station in Reno, Nevada where it lives today...atop a pole.
